two fellowships, awarded annually to a post-graduate student in Visual
and Media Arts in the Faculty of Arts at UQAM and in the Faculty of Fine
Arts at Concordia University, were created in December 2009 thanks to a
generous donation of $550,000 from the Claudine and Stephen Bronfman
Family Foundation. The Claudine and Stephen Bronfman Fellowship in
Contemporary Art is an invaluable aid in launching the careers of these
emerging artists. It allows them to develop their professional practice,
to engage in research and creation, and to gain teaching experience.
